Beijing Union University Information

Beijing Union University, located in Beijing, is a comprehensive university of Beijing Municipality approved by the Ministry of education of the people's Republic of China. It is one of the first batch of high-level sports team pilot colleges in Beijing, a key application-oriented talent training base in Beijing, a pilot unit for the grading reform of Vocational Education in Beijing, The governing unit and member school of the College Road teaching community, the member unit of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance, the member unit of the the Belt and Road Railway International Talent Education Alliance. The predecessor of the University was 36 University branches founded by Tsinghua University, Peking University, Renmin University of China and Beijing Normal University in 1978. In 1985, Beijing Union University was established. In 1987, the Department of traditional Chinese medicine of Beijing health workers college was merged into the school of traditional Chinese medicine of Beijing Union University. In 2001, the Municipal Education Commission agreed that the Chemical Engineering School of Beijing Union University and the staff University of Beijing chemical industry group were transferred to Beijing Union University, and Beijing first normal school was merged into Beijing Union University. In 2008, Beijing Chemical School, Beijing Medical Technology School and Beijing medical equipment school were merged into Beijing Union University.
