behno is an advanced contemporary womenswear label that is designed in NYC, but exclusively constructed in India. We believe in a space where ethical thinking and luxury design meet to redefine the craft and character of “made in India”. behno’s mission is to set a new standard for manufacturing for India’s garment trade that revolutionizes the way that garment workers are treated, viewed, and employed by working in partnership with factories that adhere to international factory compliances. behno has also partnered with a large nonprofit and a successful industrialist of the garmenting industry to build an ethical garmenting factory called MSA Ethos that aims to demonstrably improve the quality of life and safety of individuals in the garment trade. Along with complying with rigorous factory protocols, MSA Ethos will also incrementally implement “The behno Standard”, which is broken down into six categories: health, garment worker social mobility, family planning, women’s rights, worker satisfaction and benefits, and eco-consciousness.
