Beekman Therapeutic Riding Center allows people of all abilities to partner with horses, using natural horsemanship to strengthen the body and heal the human spirit, in a safe environment. BTRC is a non-profit organization in the heart of Lansing, MI, on the property of the Marvin E. Beekman Center, and owned by the Lansing School District. Horse facility includes a 60x120 heated indoor arena and a newly renovated dry lot stable. 10 donated horses provide services, weekly to the Beekman Center students, as this is a school for the disabled. In addition to lessons for these students, BTRC has been a very popular spot for community member to come and learn to ride, while also getting a top notch education about horses in general. BTRC is located about 2 miles from Michigan State University and is very popular study site for MSU students to come study. We are fortune to also have the advantage of having many MSU students come to volunteer while they are going to school. We also welcome any volunteers from the community. Please refer to our website for details regarding volunteering or class information at www.beekmanriding.org
