ACM is a specialist creative industries provider for music, gaming, media, and performance, offering industry-focused education built around professional practice. Students learn in real studios, rehearsal spaces, and production environments, taught by tutors who are active industry professionals. Our provision spans diploma to master’s level study, delivered through an interdisciplinary, project-based, and flexible curriculum. This includes accelerated degree routes and the world’s first accelerated integrated master’s programme, designed to support diverse learner pathways and evolving industry needs. We emphasise applied learning, with students developing skills across music production, gaming, songwriting, performance, sound engineering, and creative business. This ensures they graduate with the technical, creative, and professional capabilities needed for sustainable careers. This is supported by our Industry Link provision, where students benefit from direct access to industry professionals, live briefs, masterclasses, and real-world opportunities embedded throughout their studies. This ensures learning remains current, relevant, and closely aligned to industry practice, while also enabling students to build networks and gain experience that supports progression into employment. Since opening in 1996, ACM has supported over 25,000 graduates into careers across the music and wider creative sectors, with alumni achieving recognition at the highest level, including Grammy, BRIT, Ivor Novello, and Billboard Music Awards. ACM sits within the family of Metropolis Studios in London, Europe’s largest recording complex, providing a direct connection to industry where professional practice informs teaching, and innovation helps shape future industry development.

We pride ourselves in being the “best that we can be” through working with the best staff, in the best facilities to deliver the best education for Bradford children. Central to our mission is our commitment to knowing, understanding and valuing the youngsters in our care. We do this through forming high quality relationships and a relentless focus on excellence. Our Professional Development Programme is second to none. Externally validated by University College London as gold standard, this confirms our commitment to developing our staff at all levels of the organisation. Our Investors in People award recognises the importance we place on the people working in our organisation. People are progress and we are always looking for staff who share our passion and commitment.

Raising Aspirations - Raising Achievement - Providing Opportunities There is a great deal we take pride in over the continued progress of the Academy over the last few years. In 2014 record numbers of students achieved good grades in English and Mathematics, and all groups of students made strong progress, regardless of their background or prior achievement. We were delighted therefore, when the efforts of students, parents and all the staff were recognised when Ofsted rated the school ‘good with outstanding leadership’ in our latest inspection. We have developed strong links with many employers that are amongst the very best of any school in the country. We ensure that high achievement is underpinned by a wider education and all students well prepared for their next steps.
