Our Approach: Crafted Honey produces raw honey the way it was done over 100 years ago. From the assembly of cypress hives in winter to the bottling of varietal honey in summer, we do every last bit of it by hand. Our entire business model revolves around an artisanal approach. A reclaimed art. A back-to-basics yet forward way of operating. All facets of our company are completely treatment free and we manage our apiaries with as little intervention as possible. Our honey is... - Raw: From the honeycomb to the jar, our honey is minimally filtered, never over-heated and always raw. - Single Varietal: Similar to the many types of beer, whiskey and wine, varietal honey will differ widely in flavor and color. “Single varietal” means a given honey was produced from a predominant floral source. - Sourced from a Single Location: Because we produce every last drop of honey we sell, we know exactly where it comes from, right down to the location of the hive. As honey is harvested, it's location is cataloged, date-stamped and the varietal is identified. - Treatment Free: We do not use chemicals of any kind to promote bee health. This is analogous to treating livestock with antibiotics. We believe this results in a healthier product.
