Beclau Information

Beclau is a family owned and operated business, well established as a successful high-end custom timber furniture manufacturer and joinery for restaurant, hospitality and residential interiors. Working with detailed, largely hand made processes, we source timbers not usually available elsewhere. We aim for excellence in every detail of our pieces and have forged relationships with the best metal workers, upholsterers and polishers to ensure the highest standards are maintained. Operations began in 1993 in the city of Maastricht in the Netherlands. The company quickly gained a reputation for making what others couldn't and established close relationships with clients. Furniture designs evolved in collaboration with our own in-house designers and one-off custom pieces were manufactured. Clients were encouraged to visit our workshop to view the progress of their furniture pieces. We built a growing bespoke business, and our client base extended throughout the UK, France, the Benelux, Germany and the USA. In 2001 Beclau was admitted to the prestigious UK 'Guild of Master Craftsmen'. Returning to Australia in 2002, we have since been working closely with the design community. In addition to manufacturing custom timber pieces, we have been commissioned for several large domestic and commerical fitouts. Our range of timber furniture includes our best products from Europe as well as exciting new pieces developed with highly regarded Australian designers. Many of the projects we have worked on have been nominated for or won Australian Interior Design Awards or Australian Timber Awards.
