Bearcat Bourbon Information

Our journey to create Bearcat Bourbon began in January 2015, as a close-knit group of family & friends with a big dream. We combined our shared passion for new ideas and experiences with our love of bourbon, and one year later, Bearcat Bourbon was born. Bearcat Bourbon is an infused bourbon with two variations - Orange Peel & Spice, and Espresso & Aromatic Bitters. We traveled the globe to find the perfect recipe for our infusions, sampling the ingredients behind the world’s greatest cocktails. We explored the coffee beans of Bali, Cuba, Vietnam and Brazil, the citrus fruits of Costa Rica, Thailand and Greece, and the spice markets of Dubai, Istanbul and Spain. (It was a tough job, but we prevailed. ;)) Our two original infused bourbons were inspired by these experiences, and we have a hunch that you’ll love them as much as we do. But the real story behind our brand belongs to the countless female bootleggers, distillers and industry innovators and their rarely-acknowledged contribution to the story behind American Bourbon Whiskey. We decided to honor these women by naming our bourbon “Bearcat” - a 1920’s slang term for a fiery-spirited woman. Bearcat Bourbon was created for the free-thinkers, go-getters, and straight-shooters who make up the bourbon drinkers of today, so we thought you’d appreciate hearing their story. At Bearcat Bourbon, we believe that a great bourbon speaks for itself - but sometimes you just want a damn good cocktail without all of the work. Our bourbon is 80 proof, traditionally distilled, and whiskey drinker approved. Enjoy it neat or on the rocks. Cheers to the next adventure!
