A few years later, on August 3, 1972, the Green family opened the first Hobby Lobby store with a mere 300 square feet of retail space. Hobby Lobby has not stopped growing since. Cotton Patch Cafe was born in Nacogdoches, TX in 1989. The idea was simple. Make classic Texas recipes from scratch and serve them with the kind of hospitality that you can only find in Texas. From those first days in the Cotton Patch kitchen, we’ve always understood that good flavor takes hard work. There are no traffic jams on the extra mile. That’s the secret to our success.
