We're Beagle Sense, a hardware Internet of Things startup based at Makerspace North in Ottawa, Canada. Founded by serial consumer entrepreneur John Criswick, we're on a mission to help anyone, anywhere, unleash a healthier indoors. Launched on Kickstarter in October 2015, we're proud to set our Beagles loose in the market at a never before seen price point, making living a healthier life more affordable for all. We chose the name 'Beagle' because beagles are experts at sensing and collecting valuable information from their environment, and we want to do the same for your indoor environment. The idea for Beagle Sense arose from our team's fascination with how our indoor environments can affect our health at home or at the office. Each of us came into this project having wondered why our kids sometimes come home from school with headaches, or why we seemed to catch colds more often than our friends did, or even wanting to know how our Airbnb-listed property was faring while we had guests.
