Island Oasis was introduced to the Boston food service market in 1984 when it released
the first all-natural, super-premium strawberry daiquiri mix. Made with only the finest
ingredients and delivered frozen to bars and restaurants, the product’s overwhelming local
response soon allowed for the development of new flavors and a wider distribution.
The company set out to become the first complete frozen drink program. It researched
and invented the world’s first “shaver blender”, increased its variety of mixes and offered
ongoing service and customized point-of-sale to its accounts. The Island Oasis name
became synonymous with frozen drinks so rapidly that by the late 1980’s, the food service
industry was forced to make room for an entirely new frozen drink category.
Today, as the unquestionable leader in the category it created, Island Oasis provides mixes,
equipment and services to over twenty-five countries on five continents.
Celebrating over 20 years in business, Bluewater Grill was established in Newport Beach, California in 1996, by partners Rick Staunton and Jim Ulcickas.
