San Domenico is an independent, coeducational K–12 day and boarding school in Marin County, California, where academic excellence is rooted in our core values of Study, Reflection, Community, and Service.
For more than 175 years, San Domenico has prepared students not simply to achieve, but to use their knowledge, talents, and character to make a meaningful difference. Our long history gives us deep roots, while our approach to education is firmly focused on what comes next—preparing students for a future that will demand curiosity, adaptability, courage, and a strong sense of purpose.
Our K–12 community brings students together on one extraordinary 515-acre campus, creating opportunities for mentorship, leadership, collaboration, and connection across ages. A globally diverse student body—including Upper School boarding students from around the world—brings a rich range of perspectives to classrooms and campus life.
From academics, arts, athletics, and innovative interdisciplinary learning to service, sustainability, and global experiences, San Domenico gives students the foundation to explore widely, think deeply, take meaningful risks, and discover where their interests and abilities can lead them.
We are Rooted for the Future: grounded in enduring values while continually evolving how and what we teach to prepare students for whatever their future may hold.
At San Domenico, excellence and purpose go hand in hand. We educate students to pursue their fullest potential, and to meet the future ready to shape it.
