Baseball is a game of meticulous planning and unexpected results; a game of heroes, villains, epic rivalries, daring escapes, incredible comebacks, and unrequited love. Throw the ball, hit the ball, catch the ball: a simple story with an endless supply of surprise endings. A great baseball team is defined by raw talent, colorful eccentricities, and the desire to succeed. One of the most essential roles in this cast of characters is that of the battery, the performance of the pitcher and catcher. Working in concert on an unspoken understanding, the battery narrates the story, determines its pace, and crafts an indelible drama. Teammates for over a decade, Justin Stark and JC Sciacca cultivated their relationship on the baseball field, JC on the mound and Justin behind the plate. Their dynamic nature and ability to communicate effortlessly earned them the nickname “The Batterymates.” The duo has since taken their friendship from the diamond to the cutting room floor. It began at the television studios of Monsignor Farrell High School. While at WFBN-TV, JC excelled in the edit room while Justin honed his skills as a cameraman and later filled the lead anchor seat. Since their four-year tenure at Farrell, the development of a production team between the two was imminent. Batterymate Productions was born with the intent to engage audiences and push the limits of the imagination. Storytelling is our passion, and finding new ways to explore the unknown and entertain a vast audience is our goal.
