BassDrill Alpha Information

The BassDrill Alpha was designed by BassTech (a former Bassoe Group company) and built by Lamprell Plc. The tender barge was delivered in 2010 to BassDrill (now Atlantica Tender Drilling, a former Bassoe Group company). After four years of successful offshore drilling operations in West Africa under contracts to Perenco & Total until 2015, the rig was stacked in Congo and eventually sold by Atlantica Tender Drilling to BassDrillAlpha Ltd., a Bassoe Group company and the original initiators of the BassDrill Alpha construction project. The rig was demobilised from Congo in June-July 2018 and is now laid up quayside in Tenerife. Bassoe Group currently manages the rig with support from Tschudi Ship Management. BassDrill Alpha Ltd. is currently seeking investors, rig contractors, and oil companies for investment, chartering, or acquisition of the rig.
