Basile Hotel Competitors

As the former home of a family who once played a significant part in the artistic community of the Left Bank, the HOTEL MONGE, in the heart of the 5th arrondissement of Paris, has always been an address of prestige and significance in the Latin Quarter. This charming 4-star hotel reopened in 2016 following a complete renovation. The new décor of the establishment and its 30 bedrooms is largely inspired by the district in which it stands; a district that evolved in close harmony with the world of books. So, naturally, the design of the décor offers numerous nods to the literary Paris of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and the neighbouring University of Paris, known as the Sorbonne, as well as lithographs and souvenirs of journeys emblazoned with poetry and honouring the flora and fauna of the nearby Jardin des Plantes.

Nestled in a verdant setting, the hotel's elegant rooms and suites open onto a vast private garden, creating a haven of peace in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city, with no less than 1,500 m² of green space. The 263 rooms and suites, arranged around these gardens, offer exceptional tranquility in the hustle and bustle of the City of Light, finely combining the charm of the 1930s with a contemporary touch. Our restaurant, overlooking the gardens, and its sublime terrace, offer an unforgettable culinary experience, all day long, in a setting of rare serenity. For your professional or private events, our hotel offers 1,000 m² of conference space, comprising 11 modular lounges, all with a view over the gardens and benefiting from the natural light of a beautiful glass roof. Whether you're planning an intimate meeting or a major event, our team is on hand to meet your needs, with a capacity of up to 450 people. Folllow us @lesjardinsdumarais
