After hundreds of interviews, we have discovered that consumers are afraid to pick a bad service provider. If they spend thousands of dollars on home & repair – it better be completed correctly. If they try out a new hair salon, they better love the experience. That’s why so many consumers - even millennials - spend hours looking at reviews, pictures, and business information on multiple sites. We solve this problem by a two-fold approach. First, our unique algorithm produces business scores that reflect the overall online reputation of each local company. That way a consumer can quickly see from top-to-bottom who is most reputable. More importantly, business scores are backed by real, transparent data. We show every link to a business’ reviews, accreditation, social media, etc.. Thus consumers can make data-based, confident decisions. In addition, we are making the best user experience for consumers consumer could want. Our search result pages and business profiles have clean designs - allowing the consumer to quickly parse information. Finally, we are leveraging existing technology to make Basedin scalable and maintainable. With the use of APIs and API creators, we will be able to give real-time scores to local markets across the US – or world.
