Barwon Safety is a local Geelong company, which is owned and operated by Brian Evans. Brian has had vast experience in the supply of Safety Equipment and Workwear. Barwon Safety commenced trading in August 2000 as a mobile 'On Site' van operation. Our van operation travelled to worksites offering safety products to Industry. Barwon Safety traded successfully and in August 2001 accepted the opportunity to purchase Geelong Safety, operating from 8 Separation St, Nth Geelong. Barwon Safety employs a staff of six, and utilises a fully computerised warehouse and stock system. In addition to our branch operation in Separation St., Barwon Safety continues to utilise the On Site service, with 1 fully stocked mobile van to cater for immediate delivery requirements. Our stock holding is designed to cater for our customer needs and in particular our major customer products are held in reserve to satisfy our current contractual requirements. Our customer base is in the surrounding Geelong areas and also South-western Victoria including the country areas of Bendigo, Ballarat, Stawell and Colac. Barwon Safety also exports safety products into Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. Barwon Safety has another branch operating in Ballarat under the business name of Ballarat Safety, which commenced operation in mid August 2004. Ballarat Safety employs 4 full time employees. Barwon Safety recognises the importance of issues that relate to Occupational Health and Safety. Our company is dedicated to ensure that our customers are made aware of any technical advances in safety products and our staff has a strong focus toward customer service.
