Bartsch Law also offers tax planning and preparation services for both estate planning and tax clients. Prior to founding Bartsch Law, Ms. Bartsch was an associate at the estate and elder law firm of Gilfix & La Poll Associates for five years where she focused on Trust Administration and tax planning. In particular, she administered an active annual caseload of over forty Trust Estates including the preparation of Estate and Gift Tax Returns and she worked closely with individuals who employed Family Limited Partnerships and similarly sophisticated planning tools. Trust Administration is the process of administering a Trust estate after the death of one or more of the Trustors. This is where the rubber meets the road to determine how well the planning served the needs of the client and their family. Mistakes in setting up the Trust will come to haunt beneficiaries and has taught Ms. Bartsch many pitfalls to avoid when she is helping her clients with their estate planning. Rosmary S. Bartsch graduated with great distinction from San Jose State University with a B.S. in Business Administration, International Business and earned her law degree in 1995 from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. At Hastings, Ms. Bartsch focused on estate planning and tax courses with the goal of becoming an estate planning and tax attorney. Ms. Bartsch has an extensive business, accounting and tax background. Her experience as a fund and company accountant at Pacific Financial Research, a portfolio management company that manages the "Clipper Fund", fueled her interest in estate planning and financial management. Prior to joining Gilfix & La Poll Associates, she worked for William Paul Naiditch, CPA in the areas of tax and business development. Mr. Naiditch was instrumental in developing Ms. Bartsch's tax knowledge and interest in further expanding this area of expertise.
