Mundelein High School is a comprehensive one‐building district housing grades 9‐12. The district covers a 36‐square mile area and serves the needs of 2,033 students from Mundelein and surrounding communities. Mundelein is located on Chicago’s North Shore, approximately 40 miles north of Chicago. Neighboring high schools include Libertyville, Vernon Hills, Stevenson, Lake Zurich and Grayslake. Beginning with the 2016‐2017 school year, the high school has a new building addition which includes two STEM labs along with Project Lead the Way instruction and a Business Incubator Lab. The school has a strong academic program with more than 87 percent of graduates continuing their education at postsecondary institutions. The school offers a wide range of challenging courses, including honors and advanced placement courses that are open to all interested students. The school offers more than 40 extracurricular programs, clubs and activities as well as a comprehensive athletic program of 31 varsity sports for men and women.
