Florida's Sunshine Network provides coverage of local pro, collegiate and amateur sports teams and properties to more than 6.1 million homes. The network also produces original studio-based programs, series and specials focusing on Florida sports. Kennedy is most widely recognized by Florida viewers as the host of Orlando Magic NBA basketball on Sunshine Network and the play-by-play announcer for Sunshine's productions of all Florida State University regular season football games. He also handles rink-side reporting duties for Sunshine Network's exclusive Tampa Bay Lightning NHL telecasts. Kennedy's versatility is evident by his wide-ranging talent assignments for numerous college football, basketball and baseball games, plus golf, tennis, water skiing, equestrian events and much more. His duties at Sunshine have also included hosting Florida Marlins MLB telecasts, play-by-play duties for the AFL Orlando Predators and IHL Orlando Solar Bears, hosting Sunshine's "Under the Lights" and "Inside the Lightning" series, the "Chevy Florida Fishing Report," "Sunshine Gridiron Classics" and Sunshine's Emmy Award-nominated "Florida Sports Profiles" series. Kennedy is also a regular contributor to the network's daylong "Chevy Tailgate Saturday" college football programming and appears on "Sports Talk Live Presented by BellSouth." For the past several seasons, Kennedy's visibility at the national level has soared. He is a play-by-play announcer for FOX Sports Net's national "ACC Sunday Night Hoops" package, which can be seen in Florida exclusively on Sunshine Network. He has also been seen calling games for the "NFL on FOX," and a full season of NFL Europe games for FOX Sports. Kennedy has hosted nationally syndicated television coverage of the Citrus Bowl Parade in Orlando for the past 10 years.
