Be At One Cocktail Bars was founded in 1998 by three well-seasoned bar tenders who were determined to bring back fantastic customer service and consistency to the cocktail bar trade, particularly after the arrival of design rather than customer-led style bars.
Be At One understood the need for something a little bit different; somewhere the guests could rely on a warm greeting, great drinks and a place where a handshake and classic tunes were more important than a design feature.
In May 1998 Be At One, Battersea opened its doors, situated on Battersea Rise just near the Northcote Road Junction. The bar was an instant success, offering something new to the area and providing an inviting and friendly atmosphere.
The Be At One chain has gone from strength to strength opening bars across London, expanding across the South (Reading, Brighton, Oxford and Milton Keynes) the West (Bristol, Bath and Cardiff), and the recent expansion in to the North and Midlands (Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Liverpool).
sketch was inaugurated in 2002 by restaurateur, Mourad Mazouz, and three Michelin starred MasterChef, Pierre Gagnaire.
As a destination for food, art and music the Mayfair venue continues to contribute to the building’s heritage as a destination for experimentation. The site consists of the Lecture Room & Library, the Parlour, the Glade, the East Bar, and the Gallery. The Lecture Room & Library was awarded its first Michelin star in 2005, a second star in 2012 and a third star in 2019. The restaurant was recognised with Michelin's top three stars accolade in 2019.
