Bard Optical Information

Our company motto is “Vision for Life” because our offices are family vision centers designed to provide crucial evaluations and treatments of eye health issues for patients ranging in age from 2 to 102. Selling glasses and contact lenses is secondary to developing a lifelong relationship with our patients as their eye doctors. Whether it is a child’s first eye health examination or a senior citizen who is coming back to us following cataract surgery, all of our patients are given individual attention to ensure we are able to educate them and assist them in managing the health of their eyes. Bard Optical was founded 75 years ago in Peoria, Illinois by Dr. A. Arthur Bard. In 1981 Diana J. Hall purchased Bard and the company grew from a single office to a noted, woman-owned, national leader in professional eyecare and quality eyewear. Bard Optical has now expanded to 20 locations in Central and Southern Illinois.
