BarBets LLC Information

The idea for BarBets was born in a sports bar after a softball game in Davenport, IA. Our entire team worked on a military base, which also meant we were stuck in a cubicle all day long and sports became our favorite distraction. Monday night softball games were something we looked forward to, but it was the postgame binging on wings, beer, and sports that made it the best night of the week. To make this particular night a little more interesting, we thought it'd be fun to bet a pitcher of beer and some wings on the Monday Night Football game. Half of our team took the underdog and the 13.5 points, and the other half took the favorite and gave up the points. Once the game got into the second half, the favorite had things under control, but our friendly bet was still very much in the balance. We looked around and saw people starting to leave, but everyone at our table was ordering another round because every play still mattered to us. That's when we realized that by using spreads and over/unders to level the playing field, we could make every game matter and BarBets was born.
