Born and raised in Manhattan to Cuban immigrants, Barbara was thrust into an environment teaming with art and culture. Her innate creativity was evident early in life, spending countless hours drawing everything from wedding grown, to interior spaces. After attending "The Fashion Institute of Technology" in NYC, Barbara relocated to south Florida to work on the 1985 Biltmore renovation in Coral Gables, Fl. In 1991 Barbara established Intuitive Designs Inc. "I'm a fun designer who loves to create exciting interior spaces for my clients. My goal has always been to create simple solutions to my client's "design dilemmas". Her capabilities are endless. Her thirst for perfection eternal. She's driven to complete projects on time and within budget. Her client's satisfaction is her greatest reward. Her customized, personalized products are ideally suited for both commercial establishments and homes. She helps clients protect their interiors from the sun and substantially reduce energy bills by supplying them with everything from sophisticated wireless, battery-powered shades to designer blinds. In addition, Barbara has 20 years experience offering a complete set of interior design services from space planning to specification for the luxury homes and yachts, as well as offices of prominent professionals in Coral Gables, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton. Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and other established South Florida communities. She has designed the interiors of 190 foot yachts, and has also worked on sport fisherman boats and charter boats.
