Welcome to Soho Grand, Manhattan’s first luxury downtown boutique hotel.
Soho Grand was founded in 1996 by Leonard Stern – a New Yorker who noticed downtown NYC had been devoid of hotels for over a century, and thus developed a pioneering vision in what is now the city’s most sought-after neighborhood: SoHo.
Today, Soho Grand continues to be an integral part of the neighborhood’s fabric, standing alongside world-renowned art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. The hotel has long attracted a stylish, international set of locals and visitors drawn to the arts and entertainment, and our ability to balance service and style for our guests has been the key to our success. We welcome each guest to a hotel that feels like a home away from home, all the while creating an authentic New York experience.
Our service culture is based upon a few basic principles: treat team members with dignity and respect, make jobs meaningful by empowering team members to make service decisions to satisfy the needs of guests, believe the guest, and instill a dedication to continuous service improvement.
Twenty-six years of business is a long time, and we’re not the new kid on the block anymore. We’ve aged gracefully and are now considered a classic, iconic New York hotel that remains young at heart. Our youthful spirit is what keeps Soho Grand relevant and successful now and in years to come.
