The not-for-profit American Dental Association (ADA) is America's leading advocate for oral health. We’re a community of doers, thinkers, dreamers, and believers building a new day for dentistry. We are strong advocates for over 159,000 members – promoting the art and science of dentistry by supporting dental professionals through advocacy, cutting-edge scientific research and guidance, dental insurance resources and more. We are also advocates for public health – advocating for the safe reopening of dental practices during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing COVID-19 resources to dentists and combatting the opioids crisis – and we’re teaming up with industry partners to help you stay healthy from the dental chair to daily care at home. The Royal College of Surgeons of England is one of the best-known professional membership organisations in the world, with a name and reputation that speak for excellence in the UK and across the globe. We provide education, assessment and development to nearly 30,000 surgeons, dental surgeons and members of the wider surgical and dental teams at all stages of their careers. We set professional standards, facilitate research and champion world-class surgical outcomes for patients. In July 2021, we opened the doors to our new building; a modern space that also respects our heritage. We are the voice of dentists and dental students in the UK. We support our members every step of their professional lives. Detailed guidance is offered via our website and team of experts and advisors. Our local network brings together dentists in every community. We produce the BDJ, the world leading dental publication. Education is provided through local events and online courses. And we influence UK governments, promote standards for dentistry and champion oral health. As the trade union and professional body, we represent all fields of dentistry including general practice, community dental services, the armed forces, hospitals, academia, public health and research. We are owned and run by our members and all our income is reinvested for the benefit of the profession.
