Playing in the Welsh Premier Football League, Bangor City is one of the most successful teams in Welsh football, having won our national league three times and the Welsh Cup on numerous occasions. Bangor has also represented Wales in Europe, playing matches in Italy, Norway, Spain, Poland, Iceland, Sweden, Yugoslavia, Romania, Finland, Latvia, Denmark, and most recently, Moldova. We've also recently moved to our brand-new purpose-built stadium at Nantporth, just outside Bangor. Securing prestigious sponsorship with major online retailer The Book People, the stadium has staged a number of high-profile events since its opening at the start of 2012, including the Welsh Cup final, junior internationals, and Wales' first learning disability international. The stadium contains a well-appointed function area, including bar and commercial kitchen. We receive regular and extensive media coverage, including the Jamie and Louise Show (BBC Radio Wales) broadcast live from Nantporth (2012), lengthy feature in FC Business Magazine, concentrating on the opening of our new stadium (2012) and worldwide media coverage and #1 trending tweet worldwide when our iconic forward Les Davies was nominated for the UEFA Footballer of the Year award.
