La fin d’une époque! Flagworld.com a cessé définitivement ses activités en janvier 2018 Après 23 ans de présence sur la toile, des dizaines de milliers d’heures de passion pour assurer une couverture importante des sports motorisés au Québec, au Canada et ailleurs dans le monde, nous sommes arrivés à la croisée des chemins. Nos responsabilités familiales ne sont plus ce qu’elles étaient lors de la création du site en 1995. Dans mon cas, l’âge de la retraite est arrivé. Dans le cas de Dany, Vice-président et administrateur du site, c’est la jeune famille qui est devenue sa priorité. À la suite d’une longue et très sérieuse réflexion, nous en sommes venus à la conclusion que toute bonne chose a une fin et que le temps est venu pour nous de reprendre nos vies personnelles là où nous en sommes maintenant. La présente est donc pour vous informer que le site flagworld.com cessera définitivement ses activités le 31 janvier 2018. Nous profitons de cette opportunité pour remercier chaleureusement tous les collaborateurs, chroniqueurs, photographes, commanditaires, clients annonceurs et visiteurs qui nous ont supportés et suivis au cours des 23 dernières années. Nous souhaitons bonne chance aux promoteurs et amateurs de sports motorisés dans la poursuite de leurs activités. FlagSource is a company devoted to making world-class US & Custom flags and banners welcoming clients with custom needs and unique manufacturing requests. 1920 - John & Lillian Schultz began, on their back porch, making fraternal regalia in Chicago. 1950 - The Schultz Manufacturing Company formed between Lillian & her daughter Dorothy's husband, Walter T. Christiansen. 1951 - Rented small store and shop 1956 - J.C. Schultz incorporated. Walter - president, Lillian - VP, Dorothy - Sec/Trea. 1960's - John & Bill, 3rd generation family manufactured a full line of Flags & Banners. 1976 - "FlagSource" trademarked & became synonymous with quality. 1970's - designed & manufactured the first McDonald’s corporate flag, introduced the Nylon II American flag with screen printed stars, used mail order catalogs, popularized "boutique" flags 1984 - the company moved from Northlake to St. Charles, Illinois. 1985 - John T. Christiansen died at age 40 1987 - Walter Christiansen died 1989 - Bill Christiansen resigned 1990 - Janice M. Christiansen became president of the company, working for the company since 1975 in various positions. Fourth generation, Jon and Spencer Christiansen, took active roles in the company. 2005 - Moved from St. Charles to it's current location in Batavia. 2021 - 4th Generation Owner, Spencer Christiansen became President of FlagSource. The company is poised for rapid growth. For a century, FlagSource continues to meet and exceed the needs of its client base and is positioned for further growth in the coming months and years.
