Baltic Studios Information

Baltic is home to three recording studios in East London, which are the birthplace of recordings from artists including Björk, London Contemporary Orchestra, Sampha, Blood Orange, Cleo Sol and Arctic Monkeys. Each of our studios has been designed with a commitment to beautiful interior spaces, and provides world-class equipment and highly skilled engineers and technicians. For over a decade, we have hosted some of the leading artists and producers in contemporary music across a wide range of sessions — from small writing projects to large-scale orchestral recordings. In 2020 we launched Baltic ATM, a not-for-profit artist development programme. Each year, the programme supports eight emerging artists facing financial barriers, offering cost-free access to our studios, mixing & mastering, mentorship and professional development. ATM is currently funded by Arts Council England and delivered alongside four community partners, Power Up, Ladies Music Pub, Grounded Sounds and NTS. Applications are open exclusively to artists affiliated with our partners.
