Bereits im Juli 2010 wurden mobilkom austria AG und Telekom Austria TA AG unter dem Firmennamen A1 Telekom Austria AG zusammengeführt. Damit hat sich Österreichs führendes Telekommunikationsunternehmen auf die Konvergenz von Festnetz- und Mobilkommunikation ausgerichtet. Im Jahr 2011 erfolgte der nächste Schritt: die Stärken beider Unternehmensmarken wurden in einer Monomarke zusammengefasst. Seitdem tritt das Unternehmen mit der Unternehmensmarke A1 am österreichischen Markt auf. A1 ist mit knapp 6,1 Mio. Mobilfunkkunden (inkl. Yesss!) und knapp 2,3 Mio. Festnetzanschlüssen Österreichs führender Kommunikationsanbieter. Die Kunden profitieren von einem umfassenden Gesamtangebot aus einer Hand, bestehend aus Sprachtelefonie, Internetzugang, digitalem Kabelfernsehen, Daten- und IT-Lösungen, Mehrwertdiensten, Wholesale-Services und mobilen Business- und Payment-Lösungen. A1 (Rechtspersönlichkeit: A1 Telekom Austria AG) ist Teil der Telekom Austria Group - einem führenden Kommunikationsanbieter im CEE Raum. Die Telekom Austria Group ist in acht CEE Ländern tätig.
