Bakken Wireless is a broadband wireless ISP that was launched to meet the tremendous unmet demand for broadband internet service in the Bakken oil boom area of northwestern North Dakota. While typical wait times for direct fiber connectivity are currently several months or more – and are only expected to worsen as the surge of workers into the area continues – Bakken Wireless can provide immediate wireless broadband signal within a matter of weeks of initial entry into a new region of the Bakken and in only days once initial service is launched. Our strategy is to transmit the bandwidth wirelessly via relay towers to serve the needs for hotspot coverage in densely populated areas and directed wireless signal to man camps and oil field service locations to meet their needs.
