Baker Cranes is a privately owned 100% New Zealand Company. We have been manufacturing cranes for a wide range of New Zealand industries for over 30 years and are committed to providing high quality lifting solutions at competitive prices. Our unmatched quality and expertise has resulted in long-lasting and repeat business relationships. We carry out design, manufacture and service of Overhead Travelling Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Portal Cranes, Jib Cranes, Monorails and associated lifting equipment. Baker Cranes has continually progressed, despite strong competition from both local manufacturers and international companies, to our current position as New Zealand’s pre-eminent crane maker. We work closely with national regulatory bodies to ensure all cranes and components meet relevant standards. We strive to continually innovate and implement the latest improvements in crane design. Our manufacturing facility in Wiri (Auckland) is specifically set up for efficient crane fabrication and assembly and includes specialised box girder fabrication equipment. We are the New Zealand agent for German crane manufacturer ABUS Crane Systems GmbH. ABUS produce standardised crane components up to 120t capacity. ABUS components are used throughout the world. They are of the highest quality and are the perfect complement to our fabricated box girders. Our service department attends to breakdowns, regular preventative maintenance and upgrading outdated cranes with new drives and controls. We offer advice on the proper usage and maintenance of cranes and lifting equipment.
