Our family friendly atmosphere, fun staff and scratch-made food make this the top restaurant in the area. Backyard is heavily involved with the community, supporting Cy-Fair area schools and non profits not only through donations and discounts, but our annual BYG Bash Golf Tournament benefitting both Cy-Hope and the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation . In 2017, when Hurricane Harvey hit the Houston area, Backyard focused on feeding those that had been displaced, and the first responders tirelessly working on helping them. In the end, we served over 12,000 free meals. MARK MCSHAFFRY has continuously owned The Backyard Grill since 2001 and has worked in the restaurant/bar business his entire career, running and owning numerous establishments as well as being on the boards of a number of local Non-Profits and a recent past chairman of the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce.
