BACTERA Information

Bactera is a Germany-based biotechnology startup focused on advanced gut microbiome analysis and microbiome research. We combine shotgun metagenomic sequencing, bioinformatics, and microbial ecosystem analysis to provide science-driven insights into the human gut microbiome. Our work also explores the interaction between microbial communities and bacteriophages as part of next-generation microbiome research. Our goal is to make complex microbiome data more accessible, understandable, and actionable for research, lifestyle, and future microbiome innovation. Based in Cologne, Bactera is building a modern microbiome platform focused on sequencing, microbial ecology, and next-generation microbiome applications such as fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT).
