The Game Club of Victoria Inc. is one of the oldest specialist clubs in Victoria. It was formed in the mid 1960's and conducted it's first Annual show at Brooke's Hall, South Melbourne on 21st of June 1966. The Club's charter is to encourage, develop and maintain the various game breeds, namely Old English Game, Modern Game, Malay Game, Australian Game, Indian Game and Australian Pit Game. Some of these breeds have a heritage of hundreds of years and others, like the Australian Game and Australian Pit Game, have evolved since the settlement of our country. The club believes that it is imperative to foster these breeds, particularly the latter two as they contain the genetic base which is truly Australian. The membership base is Australia wide, which facilitates the exchange of information and stock. The wealth of poultry knowledge that exists within the membership is in itself sufficient reason to join the club.
