Backyard Cabins was created in 1990 after Master Builder, Murray Purvis, saw a growing demand for detached secondary dwellings in the building/construction Industry. Backyard Cabins has developed a reputable name and it's products have provided a welcome solution to family homes and properties in search of that extra space without the excessive costs and time consuming delays of conventional renovations and extensions. Our stylish and functional designs have been the perfect match for clients in need of a home office, a teenage retreat, extra storage, a spare guest bedroom, a self contained granny-flat, detached studios, pool house, cabana, a weekend country hideaway, and Caravan/Camping ground accommodation. In Backyard Cabins' 20-year history we have supplied and constructed at least 500 Cabins and Cottages to all corners of Australia with notable clients including the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Today we see an even stronger demand for cost-effective housing, especially in the Sydney Metropolitan Region, and it is with the NSW State Governments' new Affordable Rental Housing Initiative that Backyard Cabins' continues to assist housholds in providing cost-effective accommodation for relatives in retirement, older children struggling to save for their first home while studying and still adding great value to your property. We can handle the entire project from initial concept right through the planning and approval stages, construction with all organisation and management of trades/suppliers up until handover of a completed and compliant project.
