A long-term care pharmacy is only as fast as the seams between its systems. Orders get re-keyed by hand. The workarounds that keep the day moving live in one technician's head. Data is clean in one system and stale in the next, and the hours disappear into the gap. BackslashDev works in that gap. Some of it we connect. Some of it we build. We automate the repetitive steps in order intake, answer the calls that follow a script, and connect pharmacy management, document workflow, e-prescribing, PBM connections, and facility EMRs so data moves once, cleanly. When nothing off the shelf covers the workflow, we design and build the application that does: custom software, facility portals, APIs, and reporting. Design is where we start, not where we decorate. A screen built around the real workflow takes fewer clicks, needs less training, and survives a bad Monday. Nothing clinical moves without a licensed pharmacist reviewing it. Automation's job is to reach the handoff with the groundwork done, so the pharmacist spends attention on the decision instead of the twenty questions before it. We got here the honest way. BackslashDev started in 2012 as a small engineering team that took the projects other teams wouldn't. A hospice pharmacy partnership became the center of our world for the better part of a decade, and we were the front-end, design, and architecture team behind the software their clinical staff used every day. Somewhere in there we stopped being generalists with a pharmacy client and became specialists who couldn't stop thinking about pharmacy. Today we're the ongoing technology partner to a national long-term care and hospice pharmacy operating 26 locations, and we're packaging what we learned there into products a wider set of operators can adopt. Start small. A fixed-scope assessment first, then one build in production with pharmacist review, before you scale anything. You should never have to bet the pharmacy to find out if we're good.
