BackHome Hostel is a boutique backpackers hostel located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur’s financial and historic district. Opened in July 2009, four colonial-era shophouses were restored into 8 private rooms, 9 dormitories, a courtyard and a cafe. Our open-plan design has been awarded the Malaysian Architecture association’s PAM award for “adaptive re-use” in 2009. From 2010 – 2012, BackHome has been voted No.1 Hostel in Malaysia, No.3 Hostel in Asia, and No.9 in the World by popular booking site, Hostelworld. BackHome also houses LOKL Coffee Co. LOKL Coffee is both an in-house café for the hostel, and also a neighbourhood hangout for office workers in the area. The café serves freshly brewed coffee, hot sandwiches, and pastries. BackHome guarantees that all guests receive the same care and comfort as they do 'back home'. We guarantee personal attention, a good night's rest and peace of mind, or guests get their money back.
