Back2KC Information

Back2KC brings Kansas City’s talent network back into the room. Since 2018, Back2KC has curated annual gatherings that reconnect former Kansas Citians, alumni, founders, investors, employers, civic leaders, and community champions with the people and opportunities shaping the region’s future. Each year, KC natives and alumni are invited back to experience a transformed Kansas City firsthand. The goal is to turn connection into action: relocation, investment, hiring, mentorship, business growth, and long-term advocacy for the city. Over nearly a decade, Back2KC has helped build a growing network of KC Champions who are returning, investing, launching companies, making introductions, mentoring talent, and strengthening Kansas City’s economic future. This year’s event will take place on Friday, September 18, 2026, bringing together another curated group of leaders with Kansas City roots for an inside look at the city’s innovation, culture, business momentum, and community. As we prepare to welcome the next cohort, we invite local companies, civic partners, and community leaders to help us show why Kansas City is not just where people are from. It is where they can build, invest, lead, and belong.
