Back App was established in 2004. The chairs are produced using a unique patented technique in Anderstorp, Sweden, by Back App Europe AB. In 2007, Back App was declared winner of the "Design Excellence Award" from the Norwegian Design Council in the Furniture Design category. Today, Back App is represented in the Nordic region through a solid network of 200 competent dealers. In addition to independent user studies, studies from accredited European universities have proven that sitting on Back App removes back pain. So far, more than 31,000 Back App chairs have been sold.
