Started in 1972 by Walter Kroll, Temp-Art has progressed through its growth and development first as a mom and pop residential air conditioning service company to a full service design/build mechanical contracting firm. After starting in the basement of the family home, we soon grew out of our surroundings and moved into a local building a mere 1/2 mile from our current location. We again grew out of our container when we added sheet metal fabrication to our list of services in 1980. After the purchase of our first building, we consistently grew and added services until in 2004 we acquired another firm and with that, their building and equipment. This acquisition allowed us to expand even further adding industrial services to our 'line card'. Through dedication and hard work, we have continued to grow over the past five years in spite of the significant economic downturn. This is in part due to our attention to detail an client focused enterprise. We have never abandoned our 'attention to detail' and 'family oriented' goals as we grew. Today the company has a shared partnership with the son of the founder, now in his 26th year with the company and a new partner Jim LoPresti who joined in 2011. Robert Kroll is a graduate of Hofstra University where he transferred after attending NYIT. He rounds out his education in Computer Science and Engineering with master licenses in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Gas Fitting and is licensed to perform such work in several states. His certifications and affiliations with the USGBC, NATE, Carrier, Trane, American Standard, York, Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, LG and many more give him the ability to design or consult on almost any project of any size. In 2011 Temp-Art's officer staff was joined by Mr. Jim LoPresti when he became an equal partner in the firm with Mr. Kroll.
