Babel Tech is a socially driven EdTech concept reimagining how primary school children connect across borders through play, language and live digital exchange. We match primary schools with primary schools internationally to partner with and provide them with state-of-the-art, low-cost camera and touchscreen setups that transform classrooms into shared global learning spaces. Through real-time interaction, NLP translation and playful visual tools, we create a window to another world, where young learners experience culture, communication and friendship as if they were in the same room. We don’t believe in subscriptions. We don’t believe in locking schools into complex platforms. Instead, we enable partnerships, supply the hardware with minimal one off cost and give educators the tools to build life-changing connections between children, without barriers! Born out of the EDUCATE 2.0 Programme’s 9th cohort, Babel Tech exists to bring inclusive innovation to the classroom: beautifully designed, easy to use and available to all. As a social innovation, Babel Tech is committed to keeping our hardware affordable and accessible to schools worldwide. To maintain this low-cost model, we do not include networking infrastructure or conferencing platforms, instead, we provide clear advice and guidelines, enabling schools to connect their systems in a way that works best for them.
