We promoted public & professional understanding of the lifelong needs of children separated from their birth families, informing & influencing policymakers and legislators & all responsible for the welfare of children and young people. The British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) (until 2001, British Agencies for Adoption and Fostering) was a membership association formed in 1980 and a registered charity.
