B20 COALITION OVERVIEW The B20 Coalition brings together leading independent business associations from G20 economies and advocates on behalf of more than 6.8 million small, medium and large companies. The B20 Coalition operates as a worldwide platform of exchanges between national business communities, aiming at building consensus and developing common positions on critical issues for enterprises. Through this broad-base representation, the Coalition engages policy-makers at a global scale and advocates policies that contribute to global growth and job creation at regional and international levels. By providing a unique link between governments, relevant international institutions and business communities in the world's most important economies, the Coalition is instrumental in supporting the G20/B20 process and ensuring continuity over successive Country Presidencies. OBJECTIVES In order to contribute to global growth and job creation, the Coalition mobilizes its unique resources to: Enable the G20 business community to speak with a common voice Positively influence policy-makers at a global scale by organizing joint meetings and advocating constructive and viable business-oriented positions on any economic, social and financial issues raised by the G20 Support a continuum of agendas from one G20 / B20 Presidency to another and contribute to the follow-up of business recommendations between annual summits by monitoring the enforcement and impact of G20 commitments.
