Aziza's Place Information

Aziza’s Place, a grassroots NGO, is a home and learning community for 20 impoverished Cambodian children. The majority of our residents come from Steung Meanchey, a three-acre garbage dump on the outskirts of the capital city Phnom Penh. The children would spend up to 12 hours a day picking through waste for recyclables, earning less than 1 US dollar per day to help feed their families. Our Mission: To promote the intellectual, emotional, and physical growth of impoverished Cambodian children by providing a safe home, public school, supplemental education, and developmental programs focused on healthy lifestyles, vocational training, and the visual arts. Our Vision: We work towards all Aziza’s Place graduates learning the life tools, skills and values to become productive citizens of their community; economically self-sufficient and socially empowered.
