Individual Counseling is used almost in all branches of conceptual and methodological psychotherapy and these types define peculiarities of psychotherapeutic contact, duration and etc. Now we know more than hundred types of Individual Counseling which more or less are based, come from or run across the main psychological, psychotherapeutic directions such as psychoanalytic therapy, cognitive-behaviour therapy, geshtalt therapy etc. Sometimes Individual Counseling is done in combination with other types of therapy. Individual Counseling sometimes can be the starting point for other types of counseling – Child Counseling, Group Counseling, Couple Counseling, Family Counseling. Individual Counseling has also one special type – Internet Counseling.
