At the IDB, we’re committed to improving lives. Since 1959, we’ve been a leading source of long-term financing for economic, social, and institutional development in Latin America and the Caribbean. We do more than lending though. We partner with our 48-member countries to provide Latin America and the Caribbean with cutting-edge research about relevant development issues, policy advice to inform their decisions, and technical assistance to improve on the planning and execution of projects. The Commonwealth of Learning (COL) is an intergovernmental organisation created by Commonwealth Heads of Government to encourage the development and sharing of open learning and distance education knowledge, resources and technologies. COL is helping developing nations improve access to quality education and training. Hosted by the Government of Canada, COL is the only official Commonwealth agency located outside Britain and the world’s only intergovernmental organisation solely concerned with the promotion and development of distance education and open learning.

The EAIE is the European centre for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. We are a non-profit, member-led organisation serving individuals actively involved in the internationalisation of their institutions through a combination of training, conferences, research and knowledge acquisition and sharing. Our mission is to advance international higher education, create positive change and promote dynamic collaboration in Europe and beyond. The Annual EAIE Conference, the largest of its kind in Europe, attracts over 7000 participants.
