Avion Air Academy was established in October of 2001 at the Orlando-Sanford International Airport in Sanford, Florida. Beginning as a flight school with three Cessna C-172 aircraft and one Piper Seminole, the school operated under the name: "Avion Aviation". The flight school has grown significantly since its inception, and currently operates a fleet of eighteen aircrafts. In January of 2005, James Watkins purchased Avion Air Academy and has continued the Academy's fine traditions. Avion Air Academy is scheduled to continue this fleet expansion by adding more aircrafts to the training and rental fleet during 2007 and 2008.
