Since 2014, we've been operating in legal cannabis industries within North America. As the industry continues to evolve, mature and consolidate, we recognized that existing and traditional distribution models were becoming less valuable, as access to manufacturing and global supply chains became available. However, we recognized there were fundamental challenges shared by many cannabis operators (including ourselves) who tried to create cost savings and competitiveness through outsourcing strategies (mostly located in China). China doesn't have a legal cannabis industry and most likely won't for a very long time, so the gap between industry knowledge, understanding business needs and consumer behavior was a significant barrier for execution and efficiency. In 2018, our group moved to China to apply our experience, thought and leadership - closing the gap between an exciting and emerging industry and a robust and advanced manufacturing footprint that presents cost savings to our cannabis clients.
