Now with recent legislation in the UK, Aveso focuses on the implementation of Changing Places in the UK and worldwide. Standard disabled toilets do not have the space or equipment required for all people with living with a disability – or their carers. Changing Places toilets differ to standard disabled toilets as they have extra facilities required for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, and those who have other serious impairments such as spinal injuries, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis or an acquired brain injury.
