Originally established as New Britain Electric in 1956 by Anthony Avenell and later, Bougainville Enterprises, with a focus on markets generated around the Panguna copper mine. In 1997 the company restructured, establishing Avenell Engineering Systems Ltd. Today vertical integration through our core divisions with unique assets such as the AES Supply Base and International Port Facility allows AES to deliver to our clients like no other in PNG. Diversification of the business with a focus on vertical integration over recent years has lead to strong growth and overall performance. AES is now an integrated, multi operational organisation with core divisions which include: Engineering, Construction and Civil, Electrical, Ports, Residential and Business Park Our proven systems are complemented by a team of people with extensive skills and knowledge across all core divisions.
